VAMOS [ 53 ] NUESTROS RELATOS Hello everyone, Happy new year! A bit late, but hopefully you won't mind. I hope everyone had a good 2021 and lets see if 2022 can get rid of covid, even though I bet everyone met up with some re- latives and friends for New Year, whichmeans that covid cases are probably going to skyrocket. Tal- king about new year, why don't I tell you guys what I did for my Christmas holidays. My Christmas all started by obviously putting the tree up and decorating the house. I also helpedmy grandparents out with decorating their place sin- ce they have a really big house. I had fun but something just didn't feel right to me: it didn't “start to look a lot like Christmas” like the song says, so I just thought that if I waited a bit, maybe it would feel more like Christmas when it was Christmas eve. The days passed surprisingly quickly, and before I knew it, it was already Christmas Eve! But next thing I knew, I had already woken up and I was re- ady to open some of my presents. I got so much cool stuff like English snacks, a lego ford raptor and much more. I was obviously on a call with my dad while I opened the gifts due to the fact that he couldn't come and spend Christmas with me. After I opened my presents I went to my gran- dparents house to have Christmas lunch with some of my family and so that I could give them some presents. Before I had lunch, I gave them their presents and then they said that there were some presents for me under the tree. We all opened our presents and then we went to have lunch. Lunch was delicious and I had a great time, but it just felt different, maybe it was because of covid. We did everything the same like we would every other year, but it didn't feel the same. I decided to ask the rest if they felt like this Christmas was a bit off, and surprisingly they felt the same. After lunch we headed home. We all had the impression that it was going way too fast. We left home at 6:30pm to get there on time. When we arrived, it looked like a party, the tv was on, people were listening to music, my cousin was preparing the grapes,and it looked like ever- yone was having a fun time. Soon after, we deci- ded to film a TikTok before the bells rang. Then it was time, everyone had their 12 grapes and were watching TV. “1, 2, 3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7 ,8…!” Everyone was shouting while stuffing their mouths with grapes. Then, all of a sudden, “ HAPPY NEW YEAR!” Ever- yone shouted with their mouths filled with grapes and champagne. We finished partying and we went home. By the time I arrived home it was 5 in the morning and I was worn out, completely exhausted. I threw my- self on the bed and went straight to sleep. I woke up around lunch time and started to play and make the most of the presents that I got for Christ- mas. It was an amazing Christmas and New Year, but it was also very different. It looks like you made it to the end of my story, if you're wondering why I didn't talk about the three wise men, it's because we don't have that in Lon- don, we just have Boxing day, which is when ever- yone has a day off to play with their toys. Also, due to covid we weren't able to celebrate it this year, and the presents that I got for Christmas were so good that they made up for the presents that I missed out on.
